We’re one month into the new year already. Most of us have set goals, some of those goals may take giant mountains to climb but they are goals important to us. I don’t know about you, but it is usually around the first month into a new goal in which the drive disappears. Maybe it is because we are busy with our jobs or life and its craziness.
I’ve been trying to keep my space around me positive. The best way I know how to do that is keep my environment positive. Luckily I teach in a small Christian school that allows me to be open surround myself with positive and encouraging people. Lately, I have found that I need to keep my entertainment positive too. Which includes not tempting myself by watching cooking shows. I know that sounds crazy…but for me I can’t see it or I’ll want it. I have and I will always been the weaker link. Surround yourself with a positive environment which will allow you to stay on track with your goals.
Another great way to stay on track is to surround yourself with positve people. Put people in your live who will challenge you when you are tired and maybe don’t feel like getting in that extra workout or cheating on your food. Having people you can call or text who will encourage you through the stump in the road is awesome. I have crossfit peeps that I like to turn to when I need the extra encouragement. It’s easy to fall off the wagon, but it is always great when you know of someone who can give you a swift kick in the a** to get back up there too.
Beyond positive thinking is positive believing
Surround yourself with a positive environment and positive people who will encourage you and keep you on the track to your goals. I’m down 13 pounds so far in this journey, but the biggest thing for me besides stressing over winning–Is learning to believe in myself and all the positive I surround myself with!
