Learning to control the down and not bottom out has been something I have been working on with my back squats the last few weeks. That’s the golden nugget of tempo is that when done correctly it truly helps you control the weight and then pushing through to stand back up again. Today I asked for a spot as I got heavier and the reassurance of having someone behind me and pushing me to get back up again is what made a difference.

Training AM
A. Build to a 3 RM Back Squat @2010 95, 115, 135, 145, 150, 155
B1: DB BP @2010 10×4 25, 25, 25, 25
B2: P. Row 10 x4 45, 55, 55, 55
B3: 200m Row 0:48, 0:47, 0:49, 0:48

I did 3 reps each time I built and took longer breaks the heavier I got. I am well on my way to meeting my 250 1RM by the end of the year! The Access bars and Sustain are really helping to give me that extra energy to push through the hard stuff. I know I just need to keep coming back and stay consistent and great things will happen!

Today I registered for my first competition of the year. I was going to go back to FL and do the same one I did last year on the beach, but I decided to embrace my new region and do one here. It gives me something to work to work towards and keep my eyes focused on. Be great today!
