Adjusting

In order to keep my stress levels down and balance my life I started on my school year routine. Luckily I’ve been in somewhat of a schedule for the last month but it is taking a toll getting back to it. This afternoon I had my first PM training in a long time. Even though I didn’t do to much, I was exhausted by the end of the day. It would have been easy to stay at home, but I didn’t. I sucked it up and went and it felt good once I got started.

I can feel my strength starting to come back in my squats to a box.

Training:

A. Box squat; 2-3 x 3; rest 3 min

125×2, 145×2, 165×2

B. Grav pull up; 6-8 x 3; rest 2 min

225×3+3, 240×6, 240×6

C. Grav Dip; 6-8 x 3; rest 2 min

225×6 for all 3

D. Bicep curl @30X0; 6-8 x 4; rest 90 sec

I started out at 25 pounds and was able to do 3, then dropped down to 17.5 for all four rounds.

E. Plank – accumulate 3 min

From my knees. I had some lower back discomfort in them. I kept rolling over into a dead bug position to adjust some discomfort. It took me some time to get 3 minutes, but I did it.

I felt nervous tonight training with people I don’t usually train with. I could tell I was nervous because I was talking more than usual…nervous chatter. I’m sure as I learn to adjust to my new schedule and to the new training partners everything will fall into place.

I tried to eat a fairly easy to digest meal so that my body will be ready for bed by 9pm. I finished dinner about 6:45pm. I’ll start my bedtime routine about 8:30. Getting up early hadn’t been too bad. Today I did take two naps during the day. Letting my body adjust. 😊
