After my last round of allergy tests a month ago I started taking a poor me negative approach and only looking at what I couldn’t have. Today I got my ALCAT Food Sensitivity Test back and I’ve turned my WTF am I supposed to eat into embracing what I can eat. Of course the sarcasm in me says I’m going to grow gills from all the fish I’ll be eating! On my cruise my friend Joy got me to try some random new foods…I’m going to have to learn how to eat and cook some new foods like Bison, Duck, Bok Choy, and more exciting ways to cook some fish!
Through my EVOX and Nuro feedback I’ve been starting to think clearer and I feel like my negative thoughts aren’t as prevalent in my mind as they used to be. I’m continually looking for positive ways to bring in positivity back to my life.
My training was so solid yesterday, it was the first time since my injury that I felt stronger and had no pain while training.
Bonus: I am squatting to the 18 inch box and increased by 30 pounds from last week. I had Dr. John spot me for the last two since I was squatting on the inside of the rack. It felt really solid yesterday. Surely I will hit BW BS by the end of the year!
A. Box squat; 2-3 x 5; rest 3 min – increase load slightly from previous week
135×2, 155×2, 175×2, 185×2, 195×2
B. Grav pull up; 5,5,5; rest as needed
225 for each. That was harder than I thought it would be.
C. DB incline chest press; 5,5,5,5; rest 2-3 min
30, then 35 for each set after.
D1. EZ bar bicep curl @30X0; 6-8 x 3; rest 1 min
45×6, 50×6, 52.5×6
D2. DB fly; 6-8 x 3; rest 90 sec
This movement is really hard for me me get the full ROM. So I went with what weight I could do, 5×6, 7.5×6, 7.5×6
E. Plank – accumulate 3:30
Lots of self talk to get through these at the end! 😝
Looks like I’ll be able to head to the CrossFit games to cheer on OPEX Red and G. 👏🏼
